Persian cuisine
Food in Iranian culture is as old as the history of the country and culture of Persian cuisine is one of the third main cuisine school of the world.The most outstanding works that depict Persian food is bronze cup of Arjan .(1210-1235 B.C) engraved images on it reveal Persian cuisine and food decoration in court of Elamite kings it also shows the preparation of food in court ‘s kitchen. The oldest written works in the field is Pahlavi script of “Khosrow Ghobadan & Ridek” that dating back to Sassanid dynasty. The oldest books on cuisine have remained from Safavid era.Iranian serve three main meals including; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Four main criteria for most of Iranian foods include: too much use of rice, well cooked, the same methods of cooking, as well as mild flavor.
