Nowruz

Since the ancient times till now, Nowruz has been the largest and the most important Iranian celebration. Its importance made it be registered as the most ancient intangible heritage in the list of UNESCO several years ago.

In all over Iran, the rituals of Nowruz start from the middle of their last month (Esfand) and continue till the end of the 13th day of Farvardin (the first month of the solar Hijri calendar).

These rituals are divided into three categories: the rituals before Nowruz, rituals of New Year countdown and the first day of the New Year, and rituals after New Year countdown.
