Neor Lake
Located between Ardabil and Gilan provinces and a part of Neor protected area, Neor Lake is the biggest freshwater lake in the province. Neor lake is a relatively shallow lake with a maximum depth of 5.5 meters. Springs nearby water the lake. Both springs and the lake are highly depending on annual precipitations. Lake Neur is a habitat of a special kind of trout called rainbow trout. Moreover, sport fishing is common in this lake. Bird lovers can watch ruddy shelducks, and swallows around this Lake. Summer is the best time to travel to Neor Lake because of weather and the presence of migratory birds.
