Fatima Masumeh Shrine (Hazrat-e Masoumeh)
The shrine belong to Fatima Masumeh (790- 816 AD) the sister of the Ali Ibn Mussa Reza (eighth Imam of Twelver Shiites) in downtown Qom City. She is one of the most honorable figures among Shiite Muslim, her name is Fatima and her title is Masumeh. The holy shrine has faced number of changes and renovation in different eras. The shrine located in total area of 13527 square meters that including some number of tomb building, courtyards, iwan, and portico (covered spaces in perimeter of shrine), mosque, library, as well as a museum. Four Safavid kings (1501-1722 AD), two Qajar kings (1794 -1925 AD) and some number of princess had been buried in the shrine. The holy shrine have been decorated with beautiful tile working, inscription, and Aina Kari. Some number of tile working in shrine was performed by the biggest tile worker of Mozafarian era (1335 -1417 AD) Mohammad ibn Taher kashi Qomi.
The shrine of Fatima Masumeh is one of the important sacred places here in Iran that attract lots of tourists both local and foreign per year.
