Zanjan Ash Festival
Out of its tourist attractions, you may know Iran mainly for its historical and ancient monuments. However, the cuisine is another attraction of the country as each its region or city is characterized by special local foods. Particularly, due to vast geographical length and width and consequently, four-season weather feature of the country, various local cuisines are developed in different regions.
A food festival inaugurated in Zanjan, Iran, beginning and ending on 13 and 18 August 2019, respectively. It was exclusively devoted to Ash a well-known food made of mainly local vegetables, beans, lentils, flour, and chickpeas. 21 provinces participated in this festival with the various Ash ingredients in 80 stalls.
