The Amir Chakhmaq Complex is a prominent historical structure in Yazd city that located in middle of historical texture of city, it also contains a square, caravanseraies, a tekyeh, a mosque, a bathhouse, a water well that dates back to the Timurid dynasty. The complex was built by Jalal-al-Din Amir-Chakhmaq, the governor of Yazd in the Timurid dynasty and his wife Fatemeh Khaton for thriving of Yazd city. The mosque of Amir Chakhmaq is the oldest structure in the complex which is worthy and famous, the symmetrical sunken arched dome of mosque has adorned with green tiles and covered with an inscription written in Kufic. There is a square in northern angle of mosque that considered as one of the historical squares in iran that is surrounded by Yazd historical texture. The eastern section of square has a tekyeh (a place for holding mourning ceremonies) has three floors connected to each other by the spiral staircase has two minarets that adorned with eye catching tiles. It has accessible to Haji Ghanbar Bazzar in the basement of structure. The entrance to water well located in one of the west chambers of tekyeh and Chakhmaq bathhouse and Bafti caravanserai located in west part of tekyeh along with Shaban caravanserai in right hand of tekyeh.
