Ali Qapu Palace located in the Naqsh e Jahan Square of Isfahan city, it is one of historical building remaining from Safavid dynasty. It was built by decree of Shah Abbas I in 976 Hijria year, it is forty-eight meters high and there are six floor ,each accessible by a difficult spiral staircase. The building had a large balcony in front of that adorned with beautiful paintings, wooden ceiling, and wooden columns. From balcony the Safavid watched Chowgan (polo), maneuvers and the horse-racing as well as other events.
The last floor of Ali Qapu palace that is called Music Hall enjoy beautiful stucco-work, different cut out shapes on wall not only make it beautiful in term of decoration but also act as an acoustic that caused the reflection of musical instrument heard more naturally.
Ali Qapu is one of the main attractions of Isfahan city, its unique architectural design, miniatures, stucco work, and tile working catch the eyes of both local and foreign tourists.
